Ruri Matcha Kit

The Ruri Matcha Kit takes its name from ruri (瑠璃), the Japanese word for deep lapis blue. Each piece is finished in a crystal glaze. As it fires, the glaze grows soft, flower-like crystals across the surface. The result is layers of aqua and cobalt that look a little like frost, or petals on water. Because the crystals form on their own in the kiln, no two pieces are exactly alike.

The bowl has a wide, rounded body and a gentle pour spout. It's comfortable for whisking a classic bowl of matcha and easy to pour from for lattes. The matching whisk holder keeps your bamboo whisk in shape between uses and looks lovely on the counter.
