Inspired by the traditional Chinese Cha Chong (茶宠), or “tea pet,” the Little Goose Cha Chong is a small ceramic companion made to sit beside your tea or matcha setup and bring a little personality to the everyday.

Each little goose features a softly rounded shape and delicate pastel glaze, giving every piece its own sweet character. Place one beside your matcha tools, on a tea tray, bookshelf, desk, or anywhere that could use a tiny bit of joy.

Available in assorted soft colors, each one feels like a little friend for your daily rituals.

Treat each Uuma piece with a little care. Hand washing is recommended to preserve the glaze and finish.

from one girl who wanted beautiful mornings

 

I started Uuma because I couldn't find what I was looking for. I wanted ceramics that felt considered — beautiful without being precious, handmade without being rough. Objects that would make my morning matcha feel like a ceremony, not just a habit.

I found that in wabi-sabi. In the Japanese idea that imperfection is where the beauty lives. In the horse — the uuma — that moves freely but with intention.

 

Every piece I curate is something I would want in my own home. Something I'd reach for every single morning without thinking. That's the bar. That's Uuma.

My last name is Ma — 馬 — which means horse in Chinese. Uuma was never just a brand name. It was always a little bit of me.
